Beth first joined Dr. Michel’s team in 2006, and her overall career in the oral healthcare field first got started in 2003. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and knows how to help with virtually all aspects of a busy dental office, from hygiene care to assisting to front desk duties! She loves that the whole team feels just like family.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys spending quality time with her wonderful husband and their two adult children. Her other hobbies include traveling as often as possible and doing arts and crafts.
Alex is originally from Valley Falls, KS! He may be one of the newest members of our team, but his easy-going personality and the fact that he is such a people person make him an incredible fit already. When asked about his favorite part of the job, he shared that it is being around his awesome coworkers and seeing each patient’s smile as they walk out the door from a successful visit.
When Alex isn’t at our office, you’ll most likely find him spending time with his puppy, Salvy. He also enjoys golfing!
For over a decade now, Zach has been helping his patients achieve the healthy, happy smiles they deserve. Currently, he is going to school and planning on earning his business management degree in December of 2021. In the meantime, he finds it extremely rewarding to work alongside his amazing team and make such a positive impact on the community!
When he isn’t at the office, you can find Zach spending time with his family, including his two stepchildren and newborn (who keep him on his toes!). He also loves heading to the local golf course to unwind.
Lorraine has been working in the dental field since 2003, first joining Dr. Michel’s practice in 2019. She works tirelessly with our patients in order to resolve account issues in a smooth and stress-free manner. Her reputation as an excellent problem-solver makes her a great fit for the position! Her favorite part of this position is being able to see how much the doctors care about their staff members and the patients.
As for her background, Lorraine actually grew up in a small town on a farm. Today, the interests she pursues in her free time include woodworking and embarking on big home renovation projects.
Heather was originally born in Guyana, South America, but she has lived in the Topeka community for nearly 30 years now. She first joined our team in September of 2016, and her overall career in the field spans over 15 years! She loves spending time with such a tight-knit group of coworkers, and she’s always happy to fill in for any of the dental assistants if an unexpected illness pops up.
When she isn’t busy at work, you can usually find Heather working diligently in her gardening or going on bird-watching adventures.
Mona has over three decades of experience in the dental field. In that time, she has helped countless patients with everything from scheduling their appointments to providing referrals. Being a part of a team that is driven by their mission to provide quality care is what she loves most about working at our practice, and we love having her here!
Outside of dentistry, Mona’s interests include fishing, boating, camping, and hanging out with family. Here’s an interesting fact about her: she has 21 grandchildren!
Becca joined the dental field over a decade ago! In that time, she has successfully handled a number of responsibilities, from helping patients in the treatment chair as a hygiene assistant to welcoming them in as a part of the front desk team. Now, she spends her days sending medical claims, going over predeterminations, scheduling appointments, and much more. She always happily goes the extra mile for patients!
Outside of dentistry, Becca’s interests include camping, fishing, hiking, and kayaking with her friends and family, including her wonderful husband. She also enjoys doing karaoke!
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll find Kelli scheduling TMJ and sleep appointments, meeting with other doctors in the community, and answering questions from patients. However, her favorite aspect of her job continues to be the people she works with as well as the people she helps treat. The moment you meet her, it will be evident just how much she wants each patient’s sleep and TMJ needs to be taken care of!
In her free time, Kelli enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, watching her nieces and nephews play sports, and spending time with family.
As our Marketing Director, Ben is responsible for growing Michel Dental and Sleep Solutions through community outreach, branding, and social media. With over a decade of experience in his profession and an outgoing, creative personality, he’s been a great fit from the start! As for his education, he obtained his A.A. in visual communication.
Ben has a beautiful wife and eight wonderful kids at home. Here’s a fun fact about him: he is writing a novel!
Crystal is a graduate of the Wichita State University Dental Hygiene Program. She joined our team in 1994 and has since then worked in every area of our practice. She also has extensive training in dental sleep medicine, Invisalign, and the Nomad system. Crystal is passionate about helping patients understand their dental hygiene and treatment needs, and assuring a pleasant and comfortable appointment is her top priority.
When she’s not helping patients receive pleasant, comfortable care, she enjoys sports, traveling, exercising, and reading.
A Kansas native, Kiersten joined our practice in 2018. She genuinely loves people, and she enjoys living out that passion by helping them achieve healthy teeth and gums! Her favorite part of her job is being a part of a team of dental professionals that works hard each day and are always available to help each other.
Every moment she can, Kiersten is spending quality time with her family, including her son, Bryson, and her daughter, Emmaline. She also likes doing puzzles and playing games with her close family and friends.
Patsy has nearly 40 years of experience in the world of dentistry! Although the field has changed throughout the years, her passion for people and oral health certainly hasn’t, and she is grateful that each day provides her with the opportunity to do her favorite things. Plus, the family-oriented atmosphere helps her patients enjoy their visits too!
When Patsy isn’t at our dental office, you can most likely find her whipping up her latest creation in the kitchen. Her newest endeavor was creating Madagascar vanilla bean extract!
A Kansas native, Megan has her associate degree in dental hygiene and her bachelor’s in health science. Today, she has more than 5 years of hands-on experience providing thorough dental checkups and educating patients on the importance of good oral health. For her, the best part of her job is the patients and staff.
When Megan isn’t helping patients enjoy healthy, happy smiles, you can most likely find her with her husband and two children. She also likes camping and photography!
Sydney earned her associate degree in dental hygiene in 2022, and she joined our team shortly after. She genuinely loves making appointments more comfortable for each patient while also teaching the importance of good hygiene habits. When asked what she loves most about her job, she said it’s the welcoming staff, friendly team members, and everyone’s willingness to help each other!
At home, Sydney has a daughter, a fiancé, and two dogs. As for hobbies, she likes crafting, cooking, and spending time with loved ones.
In addition to obtaining her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Benedictine College, Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the UMKC School of Dentistry. If that wasn’t impressive enough, she also has well over a decade of experience! Her passion for helping others is genuine, and she wants to help each patient feel at home at our office.
Jennifer loves all sports, but especially volleyball. In fact, she played for four years in college and is now a coach for a youth volleyball club! She also has four kids of her own and enjoys cheering them on at their practices and activities.
In addition to earning his A.A.S. in dental hygiene from Johnson County Community College, Jason has an impressive 7+ years of experience in dentistry. Since joining our team in 2021, his favorite aspect of his job has been focusing on customer service and patient comfort. His empathy for his patients and their anxiety helps him do just that with everyone that walks through our doors!
When he isn’t at the office, you’ll most likely find him taking his family on hiking trips and spending time outdoors.
Originally from Effingham, Julie now resides in Topeka. With eight years of experience in the dental field, she joined our team in early 2022. Now, she loves working with an amazing team and getting to know our wonderful patients!
Between her own children and her nieces, Julie is constantly on-the-go outside the office. She loves watching football, volleyball, and softball as well as spending time on her parents’ farm.

Becky first entered dentistry in 1997 and has been a part of our office since 2005. In addition to being a dental assistant, she has extensive training in dental sleep medicine and is also a certified supragingival scaler.
After hours, she enjoys running and spending time with her kids.
Dawnly was born and raised right here in Kansas. She joined our practice in 2020, bringing roughly a decade of experience in the field of dentistry with her. Today, she loves working alongside such a welcoming team and making sure patients get the absolute best dental care. Her dedication to ensuring each patient is comfortable during their visit is what makes her the perfect fit for her job!
When she isn’t helping her patients on their journey to improved oral health, Dawnly soaks up every minute she can with her young son. She also enjoys watching football, being outdoors, hanging out with friends and family, and line dancing!
