Beth first joined Dr. Michel’s team in 2006, and her overall career in the oral healthcare field first got started in 2003. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and knows how to help with virtually all aspects of a busy dental office, from hygiene care to assisting to front desk duties! She loves that the whole team feels just like family.

Tammi has worked in the dental field since 2012. She joined our office in 2018 and works with our patients to stay up to date on their accounts and schedule appointments. She is very kind and friendly, and Tammi loves being part of a team of professionals who truly care about our patients. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University.
Originally from Lawrence, Tammi and her family now call Oskaloosa home. She and her husband, Mark, are the proud parents of one son who is attending Washburn University. Tammi also enjoys spending time with family and friends boating, fishing, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.

Lori has over a decade of experience in oral healthcare so far, first joining our office in 2019. She loves the efforts that the whole team makes towards providing outstanding dental care and compassion to patients in need – there’s such a great sense of camaraderie! She also really enjoys getting to know each patient and having the opportunity to see them routinely. As someone with a past history of extreme dental anxiety, she can definitely relate well to those who may be in the same boat at their first visit.
At home, Lori has a son named Zayne and a daughter named Taylor, both of whom she loves spending time with outside of work. Her other hobbies include taking walks, going on hikes, practicing photography, doing wine tastings, and fishing.
Lorraine has been working in the dental field since 2003, first joining Dr. Michel’s practice in 2019. She works tirelessly with our patients in order to resolve account issues in a smooth and stress-free manner. Her reputation as an excellent problem-solver makes her a great fit for the position! Her favorite part of this position is being able to see how much the doctors care about their staff members and the patients.
As for her background, Lorraine actually grew up in a small town on a farm. Today, the interests she pursues in her free time include woodworking and embarking on big home renovation projects.
Crystal is a graduate of the Wichita State University Dental Hygiene Program. She joined our team in 1994 and has since then worked in every area of our practice. She also has extensive training in dental sleep medicine, Invisalign, and the Nomad system. Crystal is passionate about helping patients understand their dental hygiene and treatment needs, and assuring a pleasant and comfortable appointment is her top priority.
When she’s not helping patients receive pleasant, comfortable care, she enjoys sports, traveling, exercising, and reading.
Doug served in the United States Navy for five years. Afterwards, in 1984, he earned an Associate in Applied Science from Delmar College and attended the University of Kansas. He has been with our office since 2003.
After hours, Doug cares for his mother and two aunts. His interests include biking, shooting pool, landscaping, record collecting, and traveling.
Taylor graduated from Johnson County Community College with an Associate in Applied Science in dental hygiene. She joined our team shortly after in 2014. As one of our hygienists, she loves educating her patients about the health of their mouth and how it affects their overall health.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, walking her dog, and spending time with her mom, dad, and brother.
Be sure to congratulate, Anna! She graduated from Wichita State in May 2018 and is engaged to be married! As a dental hygienist, she has her assisting and NOMAD certification, and she enjoys meeting and building relationships with her patients. Originally from Hoyt, KS, Anna is from a small family. She and her fiancé are having fun planning their wedding and taking care of her two-year-old Border Collie mix.
Kiersten is a relatively new addition to our dental family, just joining the practice in 2018. She has her Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene degree, as a well as a technical certificate in dental assisting. She loves the people she works with her at Michel Dental and the amazing patients as well! Being able to provide valuable information that keeps others happy and healthy means the world to her. She also has a passion for building relationships and getting to know new people over time.
Originally from Overbrook, KS, Kiersten is married and became a new mom in March of 2019! She also a German Shephard and a cat at home. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with loved ones, watching her younger siblings play in sporting events, and participating in church activities.
Patsy may be new to Michel Dental, but her career in oral hygiene spans an impressive 35 years and counting so far! She studied at Johnson County Community College, earning her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She loves so many parts of her current position, including being able to help people achieve excellent overall health, meeting new patients, and utilizing the latest technology. She really enjoys learning something new everyday too while also educating others.
When she isn’t busy at the practice, Patsy’s hobbies include reading, caring for animals, and experimenting with cooking/baking. Her friends and family regularly enjoy that last one – or maybe they just tolerate it with a smile!

Heather was originally born in Guyana, South America, but she has lived in the Topeka community for nearly 30 years now. She first joined our team in September of 2016, and her overall career in the field spans over 15 years! She loves spending time with such a tight-knit group of coworkers, and she’s always happy to fill in for any of the dental assistants if an unexpected illness pops up.
When she isn’t busy at work, you can usually find Heather working diligently in her gardening or going on bird-watching adventures.
Becky first entered dentistry in 1997 and has been a part of our office since 2005. In addition to being a dental assistant, she has extensive training in dental sleep medicine and is also a certified supragingival scaler.
After hours, she enjoys running and spending time with her kids.
Maria has enjoyed working in dentistry for more that 20 years because it gives her the opportunity to help people feel better. Growing up in Salina, she attended Ell-Saline High School and Pueblo Community College where she studied expanded duties and functions in dental assisting.
Maria is the proud mother of one daughter and became a grandma in February of 2017! In her spare time, she attends her nieces’ and nephews’ sports games.
For more than 31 years, Kim has been a dental assistant, interacting with patients and helping to give them back their smiles. She is originally from Emporia, KS, and attended Northern Heights High School. She attended ESU for one year and then went on to Flint Hills Area Vocational, becoming a certified dental assistant. She is also certified in CPR and supragingival scaling. Kim has a daughter and son who are twins, a granddaughter and a grandson on the way. In her free time, she loves to be outside at the pool and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her certificate for dental assisting, Mirandi had nearly a decade of experience under her belt before joining our team. Every day, she loves getting to know our patients and helping them improve their oral health. She also genuinely cares about our patients and treats them as she would like to be treated.
As a native to Topeka, Mirandi enjoys being outside with her husband hiking, skiing, and traveling and exploring new places.
